Marek Health is a telehealth platform built on streamlining health optimization that uses preventative medicine and evidence-based treatment plans to get clients the desired results. Based in Michigan, their company of approximately 200 employees connects clients interested in human optimization with pragmatic healthcare professionals who are dedicated to peak performance.
Marek Health had the vision to turn into a highly data-driven culture, and given their current business processes and workflow, they had different systems to perform different business functions.
Naturally, having multiple systems would pose an issue when the team had to go into individual systems to get the answers they were looking for, and then trying to link the data back into another system or linking the data point from one system to all other systems. They struggled to enrich all these data points to understand the effectiveness of the business in reaching out to and retaining customers.
As part of their data-driven objectives, they requested data extracts from Zoho CRM to be made available in their internal repository.
Through a series of consultations, we decided to build a process that runs on a scheduled basis, reaching out to Zoho CRM’s APIs to download the backup files on demand instead of manually waiting for two weeks for a data extract to be available (which is a standard feature in Zoho CRM). Files were then sent to a designated drop location where it could be accessed by the Marek Health team.
With the files being dropped into the nominated location, the Marek Health team were able to ingest the information into their data warehouse, where they were able to then connect data points from different systems and to get a holistic view over their business efforts in securing deals.
This resulted in some other beneficial outcomes including:
No requirement for the users to handle the file manually, therefore reducing user error
Ability to transfer a large amount of files over the internet to a drop location in a stable manner
As such, Marek Health was able to use their data more efficiently to generate insights, while keeping the data trail as stable as possible.
